How to sell your property using eLands

1. The first step is to Register and create a great profile.

2. Once you are signed in, listing your space is very easy, just click the List Your Space button and describe your space truthfully and accurately. Select the appropriate amenities to add more value to your listing.

3. Next step would be to browse similar properties in your area and check their prices. We advise you to know your competition! Then all you need is to input the price of your property and upload as many photos as you can. eLands will never charge you anything when selling your property.

Upon any requests or interest, you will get a notification email with a personalized message from your prospective client that he or she is interested to know more about your property listed for sale. From there you can message back your clients, set a meeting and SELL SELL SELL! 

eLands will never provide anyone with your private information such as phone number or personal email, so you would need to reply back to the message left to you by your prospective clients through your eLands’s account.

Cancellations and Refunds

If, as a Guest, you cancel your requested booking before the requested booking is confirmed by a Host, eLands will cancel any pre-authorization to your credit card If, as a Guest, you wish to cancel a confirmed booking made via the Site, either prior to or after arriving at the Accommodation, the cancellation policy of the Host contained in the applicable Listing will apply to such cancellation. Our ability to refund the Accommodation Fees and other amounts charged to you will depend upon the terms of the applicable cancellation policy. Details regarding refunds and cancellation policies are available via the Site.

If a Host cancels a confirmed booking made via the Site after Accepting the Booking Request, (i) eLands will refund the Reservation Booking Fees for such booking to the applicable Guest within a commercially reasonable time from the cancellation and (ii) the Guest will receive an email or other communication from eLands containing alternative Listings and other related information. If the Guest requests a booking from one of the alternative Listings and the Host associated with such alternative Listing confirms the Guest’s requested booking, then the Guest agrees to pay eLands the Reservation Booking Fees relating to the confirmed booking for the Accommodation in the alternative listing, in accordance with these Terms.

How does the eLands payment system work

Once you get a booking your clients will pay the reservation deposit. This deposit is forwarded to you 24 hours after your tenant checks in. The money will be deposited into your Paypal or bank account. The remaining payments come directly from your clients either in person when they come to stay in your rental or via any other transaction that you both agree on. You will need to know that there will be a small charge of 3% on the deposit transaction to cover the bank transaction fees. Other than that eLands makes money when you make money so your clients contribute an additional 3% to 10%.

It is free to list your space on eLands however there is an option that you might want to choose which is an advertising monthly plan (to be implemented later)

If the reservation request is declined or expires eLands does not charge any fee.

If the reservation is accepted, the payment is processed and the tenant would be requested to pay the reservation deposit including the eLands service fee which is 3% to 10% of the total amount. This money would be forwarded to eLands where it will be held for 24 hours after the tenant (tourist) checks-in.  This method gives both parties peace of mind when it comes to cancellation and tenant refund policies. 24 hours after check in, if there are no issues with your client/s and s/he finds everything in order, the money will be forwarded to your bank / PayPal account less 3% of this amount due to bank transaction fees. Your will receive the remainder of the payment directly from your clients either in person when they come to stay in your rental or via any other transactions that both parties agree on. 

 

 

How do I list my space on eLands?

2. Once you are signed in, listing your space is very easy, just click the List Your Space button and describe your space truthfully and accurately. Select the appropriate amenities to add more value to your listing.

3. Customize your pricing by adding a security deposit fee together with a cleaning fee, if needed, and a day to day/ monthly pricing on your calendar. You can customize particular day/s with different pricings.

Upon bookings the calendar updates automatically showing when your space is or is not available but you should remember to show your personal availability as well in the calendar to make sure tourists do not try to book your space when you are not available!


4. Last but not least input your payment information correctly so we can pay you!

Upon any reservation requests you will get a notification through mobile and email where you can browse your guest's profile and reply to any messages they may have sent.

Why is my Profile Picture Important?

We at eLands are sure you have heard of the saying ‘’A picture is worth a thousand words’’. It is no secret; the first thing your clients look at after they have a look at your listing is your profile picture. They will try to read your personality, way of life, culture, religion and moreover they will be looking if you are a ‘’normal trustworthy person’’. All this will go through their mind and in a second and they will make a quick judgment on whether to contact you or not.

We at eLands personally think that you don’t need a professional photographer to get a good picture of you. Infact we believe that this can be easily done by yourself and maybe with the help of some family or friends. To try help you get as much clients as your hart content we formulated a guide line to help those that like to get some pointers on how to get/ make a good profile picture.

What a good Profile Photo needs to show:

1.      Has to be taken in the right lighting. If you’re taking the photo in your home first is to find a window in that provides good lighting and clear out any clutter that may be around. If your taking a picture outside make sure that there is not too much light that the viewer can’t see your face and eyes properly.

2.      Try taking a colorful photo. Most of the people love colours and being dull won’t give a good impression to those looking for somewhere to have fun.

3.      Take a photo that screams your personality at its best and always smile.

4.     Try being original. Use your imagination, photography is an art and you will need to be creative. Don’t be boring, people are searching for those that are funny, joyful, kind and that give a warm welcoming feeling. Are you the night party type? Are you the loving family type? What you love doing best? All these questions can be useful in the creation of your unique profile picture.

   We suggest you ask some family or friends for their opinions. You will be amazed how much advice they can give you.

How do I travel through eLands?

Your first step is to create your eLands account followed by a good clear face photo.

Your second step is to choose the destination you want to go to. It is very easy to search on eLands. Remember you can also add listings to your Wish Lists to review later on, compare and share with your friends. Once you make up your mind where to go send a Booking request and keep an eye on your email inbox or elands notifications for a reply from the Host.

Once your booking request has been confirmed you will receive an email which will take you to the eLands payment page where you will be asked to enter your payment details and confirm. 

Right after you confirm your payment you will receive a billing receipt.

Last but not least, upon check out, eLands will send you an email to leave a review (if you like) on the property you just rented. We truly value your opinion and we would be honored if you share your experience and suggestions.

 

 

Listing Guidelines and Rules

When creating and adding a listing on eLands you are agreeing that we reserve the right to remove any content (in whole or part), that violates eLands guidelines that are clearly stated in the Terms of Service.

If any of the following are not adhered to, eLands will remove or ban the account in question and in some cases take legal action against those that:

  • Create a listing that advertises a product or service instead of a rental.

  • Enters Malware or virus links in his/her pages

  • Input any content that promotes violence or illegal activity

  • Input any content that is created to be used as extortion

  • Input any content that is fraudulent, false, misleading or deceptive

  • Input any content that refers or reflects on an eLands investigation

  • Reviews or input any content that break the data protection act, violates another person privacy rights, example: typing lessor or tenant’s full name or address in a Review.

  • Attempts to impersonate another person

  • Use vulgar, threatening, libelous,  slanderous, obscene or any other improper language

  • Input any other content that breaks the Terms of Service agreement.
